Adult to Young Adult Outfits

Okay, I've done some searching, but I haven't been able to find anything that explains how I can do this.

I downloaded a few really cute outfits that would be perfect for some of my young adults. Unfortunately, these particular outfits are adult only. Grr. Since there should be no mesh difference between adult and young adult, I know it should be easy to flag an adult outfit for use by young adults (and vice versa), but I can't seem to find anything that explains HOW to do this. The only tutorial I found at the SimPE site was over two years old and didn't make any sense with the newest version of that.

Anyone have any advice, instructions, guidance, catcalls, namecalling? :}

I can never remember which is the correct number for each age group, so I just pick a YA item in simpe, see what the category numbers are for age, and then put the same ones in the clothing I want to change.  I don't do it often, so every time I do, I have to relearn it, but it's easy enough.

40 is YA, 8 is adult, 48 is YA and adult, 10 is elder, 4 is teen etc...

What I do when I want outfits enabled for YA and A I use the scan folder option in SimPE and scan where the outfits are (usually in a separate folder before I actually put them into my downloads) then I select the outfits I want to change and part way down under the "operations tab" at the bottom you can check boxes for what ages you want it available for, I select YA or A whatever is not ticked off, then you click "set" above the boxes. You can also change the category of outfits this way and its really simple to do.

That worked! I misunderstood the original directions I found, but I was able to find it and make it work.
