Not sure if you're serious with your problem or not -- very funny picture  Smiley  -- but just in case you're serious:

If you use the "moveObjects on" cheat, you should be able to remove the plant.  I've had to do it a number of times with teddy bears stuck in similar fashion, and once with a toddler who was impaling the parent.

Yes, I am serious. Usually I let my game run while I take a nap, and if no one has died or if the repo man hasn't taken all of the furnishings then I will continue to play or save and exit. Well this particular time, none of those things happened, but I neglected to look at my sim and so I saved and exited the game. When I restarted, this is what she looked like.

I tried this, but the plant and sim came together. I guess this means that I will have to start the lot over...

Have you tried the old 'delete the sim, save the lot and re-enter it' trick?  That usually resets a borked sim, and may clear up the problem.

Yes I did, it was the first thing I tried.

When you used "moveObjects on," did you delete the plant or simply move it?  If you didn't delete, might want to try.

Did you choose that indoor plant as the model of an InSimenator adjuster?

If so, try removing all InSim adjusters in the lot, and reload it again (I'm not sure it will work, but I remember having seen that before Wink )

Edit:
Here it is, poor Trashcan Boy seems so aware of his condition  Cheesy

Btw, those meshes are actually replacing the sim's plumbob.

I grabbed hold of the plant and then hit the delete key. The sim and the plant both vanished.

Yes! That was the problem. I am using the plant as a motive adjuster.

Edit:
In response to your edit - I download just about everything, but I don't use a lot of hacks in game and I haven't modified anything. So when you mentioned the InSimenator, it just seemed to be right on the money. I took the file out of my downloads folder, restarted and everything was back to normal. But I still wonder what made my sim this way in the first place... odd.

Since your sim seems aware of his condition, I'm now wondering if it's why my sim seemed to be frustrated. I couldn't tell what was in her thought bubble.
