Broken item - is lot salvagable?

So I have this tent thing, I have no idea where I got it from, but recently when I placed it on a new lot, when I clicked to place it the game locked up, then crashed. This happened repeatedly; I could place other objects, but not this one. OK, so the object is corrupted somehow.
But I have a lot I'd been playing with 4 of them on it. They've got a huge garden almost ready for harvesting, I don't want to evict them. If I remove the tent from my downloads folder, will it make my lot not load? Or will the tents just vanish?

Probably vanish. Why not try it, and see if it works?

Backup first.
Usually, if you delete an custom object that's in use, it will just revert to whatever it was cloned from originally.

yeah, they turned into beds.
I've only ever deleted CC that I found so hideous I never used it once, so I wasn't sure if it was a VBT or not. Thanks for putting up with me
