Why can't Sims sell their homemade compost?

Why can't sims sell their compost? They can buy fertilizer but can't sell it. I wish someone would make a hack to make compost sellable for about $5 per unit.  I can't find the request forums on Modthesims2.com. Can someone direct me to it, please?

Compost can be sold just fine. Just tag it "For sale" and sell it. People will pay tons of money to buy GARBAGE!

Raking leaves gives you one lousy compost point. If you want REAL compost reapage, what you need is an ordinary garbage can. I've filled 5 compost barrels with just the discarded coffee mugs of my employees!

You rake leaves? No, you set a minimum neatness level on your visitor controller, and then your townies rake leaves for you. You might want to combine this with a Bandatron; that way your townies pay to rake your leaves, and then pay again for the compost. Remember, in Soviet Russia, leaves rake YOU!
