There's a simpler explanation than time paradox... the whole mesh has been created as a single group and tagged as alpha which means that the polys are not distance sorted w.r.t. each other when rendered in game. End result is that bits of the shape can and will be drawn in the wrong order and this will change dynamically with the camera viewing position. The creator should have created the mesh with 2 groups, one for the curtains tagged as alpha and the rest of the bed (base, covers, frame) in the other group which would only need on/off transparency at most.

And the edible tiger craze continues...  Somehow, I find them mildly disturbing. Why would sims want to eat badly meshed felines?  This is supposed to be a natural spa. The idea is nice, but it fails hopelessly. Plus, those big ol rocks gotta hurt.  The obligatory feeEssen submission. This is supposed to be a cave for dogs. I don't see a roof, or walls or...anything, mostly. Shame, because I would actually have liked a nice cave for my wolves to sleep in. |

That spa would actually be really nice if the basin wasn't smooth like that and didn't have those four oddly symmetrical rocks inside. Good idea badly implemented.

Because it's a donation item and some people haven't yet plundered the booty?  Anyway, it's not quite feeEssen, but this made me wince today:   It's a hacked object, and I haven't put it in my game so I can't judge how well it does what it claims to do, but I can still wonder whether that camera is being held backwards or not, why it's all one color (though it comes with recolors that look more like a real camera) why it's too big for sims, why sim hands clip through it, and where the 4000 polys in it went.   It can sit on a table, though, so I guess it counts as butt-ugly broke-ass furniture. 4000 polys?!?  And why so big? Not even the digital camera my school used to have back in -98 was that huge! (you plucked a floppy disc in it and the pictures were saved to it... You could snap at least five or six pictures with one disc only because that's how bad the image quality was... Oh, those were the days...) Anyway, I would've settled fine with just a small cube but with a more detailed texture. 4000 polys?!? |
