You should install the Pets patch before/after the seasons patch
For what's worth: I installed the pets patch as it came out, and have had no issues (and yes, Seasons was already installed). As for the Seasons one, so many people have had problems with it, and it fixes so few things, that should the cognoscenti say it's fine, then I would, otherwise, why risk? Sorry I have no other answers I could reliably provide. |

Okay, thanks very much for the advice. ZiggyDoodle, What happened to you with the first Pets patch? Oh, and I love "A Clockwork Orange"!  I remember the part you mean when he had his eyelids clamped open and was forced to watch all sorts of hideous footage! I guess the same concept would apply to my avatar....You certainly couldn't close yours eyes, even if you wanted to. |

I never installed the Pets patch. I installed Seasons without it and then ran the patch for Seasons. So far I have had no issues.

I risked installing the pets patch when it came out, and I had the classic issues with children and NPCs with wrong hair colours and some other minor issue I've already forgot about.

Ah, okay...The Pets patch sounds like one I'll put in a folder for posterity like ZiggyDoodle said.
And about the Seasons one...I am still waiting on word from the Awesome One to give the go ahead, lol.

Yes. I was on the unholy hybrid first - the 1st pets patch + the .exe from the CD.
Then the 2nd pets patch
then seasons
then seasons patch

I've had no problems since installing the second Pets patch (though I don't have Seasons yet), and it actually does seem to have fixed numerous things. I'm still not clear on whether the changes made in the Pets patch will stick once Seasons is installed, or what, exactly, the Seasons patch does, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
