Puppy stuck in hands, then lost

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I feel silly because I didn't take an error log, but I figure I'll at least see if this has happened to anybody else.

I was playing a lot with two dogs and their three puppies. This lot also has a woman and her child, and the DMA Bordello set. I would first assume the problem is either Maxian or Non-Awesome, naturally.

I decided to donate three of the puppies to the adoption pool. I did so, the police came and took the puppies away. I was playing with the family and the Bordello set, making some money, and had the two adult dogs go try for some more pups. While this was happening, all the visitors to the Bordello finally noticed the puppy and started playing around with him. Eventually one of the DMA NPCs picked him up, and then he was stuck in the NPC's hands. The NPC took a bath with the puppy in his hands and walked around with him for a while, but I hoped maybe he would put him down eventually. He didn't, of course, and then he went to change the channel on the television and the puppy turned into a remote control  Undecided and disappeared from the household list.

Since it happened with a custom NPC I definitely assume it was that, so really unless anyone else has any ideas for what it would have been, I can only use this thread as a suggestion to not use any such sets with puppies or kittens on the lot. If this happens again, I will definitely record the error log here. b

Wouldn't it make more sense to report this on the DMA sims site?

Didn't someone have something similar a while ago where a puppy got stuck in someone's hand then disappeared when the sim went to fill the pet food bowl? (instant real puppy chow XD)

I think they exited without saving...

Ahaa, found the thread. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=7062.0

Yea, but you take your life into your hands there -- they insist that they only support their stuff in a game that has no other hacks in it, and if it's broken it's someone elses fault.  I've pretty much stopped using any of the DMA stuff other than the teleporter (for the caller ID, and if someone else makes a caller ID I'd dump that too) because of that attitude.

If anyone cares, though, the Seasons update to the DMA stuff is out.

Basically what jsalemi said is what I was thinking. Knowing their policies, and also wondering if it had nothing to do with their set at all and was rather a Maxian thing. Anyway, thanks for responding, and I've had my experience with a bordello and I think I'll give it up now. Smiley

Try TwoJeffs' ACR mod - that has a bordello/brothel setting. I've played the DMA one - ages ago - and 2Jeffs' ACR - and the ACR is far preferable. Sims are not just humping machines, real stories emerge with 2Jeffs' gentler treatment. I was just thinking last night it was time I set up a brothel again.

I was recently reading a story about two/three (Mexican?) sisters who would make love with customers who came to eat their beautiful cooking, there was a kind of innocence about them and they never took money for love, the customers would instead pay premium for the food. One day a customer offered money for sex, didn't want to eat first and the whole innocent picture became corrupt; with devastating effects on the sisters. Steinbeck perhaps?

Anyway, a gentler more rural brothel was what I was thinking.

Sorry to hear the DMA sims coder is so arrogant, doesn't help with your issues.

Karma.... I was just looking at the thread over on SexySims2 yesterday about the DMA npc's. Someone had a very similar problem to you...  http://www.sexysims2.com/showthread.php?p=1409289621#post1409289621

Unfortunately Danny66 didn't answer that part of the post.... but i suspect it's a problem with the npc not the puppy or other hacks..

I gave up using that set because the npc's would freeze or the entire lot would freeze and I don't like the creators attitude either..
