Pod person errors at work

My sim Petunia gets errors when she goes to work. She doesn't seem to go autonomously, I had to make her drive today.

I looked at them just for shits and giggles, and the only suspicious thing that I could see is the LS career, Game Development. Perhaps those careers aren't equipped with mood adjustments for pod people.

That might be why it's spazzing out on the sunlight motives - as far as I can read those things. She turned up on the doorstep after the reset. I've now made her resign and will try an ordinary job. Though she had a LTW to be a gamer. Mind you, that's probably a hack too.

There is a new Gamer career in Seasons, she should still be able to achieve her LTW.

I did that this morning. Those two are hard to keep straight when you only get them one at a time through a newspaper/computer.

D'oh! Never mind, thanks to ffs she has a different LTW now. Good to know the gamer LTW is for the Season's career.

I decided to give Petunia the game developer's career - I still get an error message when she goes to work. One thing I have done which may have borked her, is given her a Uni upgrade via ffs debugger.

Fixed. Looks like any custom career pre-Seasons will have the same problem as well.

The second error log was for a Maxian career though, does that mean some of their own careers are borked? I thought the game developer career came with Seasons?

GDev is LS. Gamer is Seasons. Both look like Maxian careers because they are, one was simply extracted from LS.

So this is what confused me, are you calling both those careers custom then?

ETA: Or saying all careers, Maxian or otherwise, will have Pod Person Problems?

The LS careers are Maxian careers in origin, but must be extracted from the datafiles and shoehorned into a game it was not intended for. Therefore, it can potentially share any issues pertaining to custom careers. Sort of like how the Alienware computer is Maxian, but will have the same issues that a custom computer does.

So why was there an error on the Gamer career that came with Seasons?

You probably confused it with either GDev or it is the Work of the Non-Awesome.

No non-awesome careers in my game, just what comes with it and the LS ones. Probably you're right and I'm still confused which career is which - I've probably put her back in the same one!
