SimPE website down??

I am trying to get to http://sims.ambertation.de/ since last night, but it tells me it can't find the server.  Is anyone else having trouble?  I'd like to get the latest QA release that works with Seasons.  Does anyone have it that would be willing to send it to me?  Thanks!

The sheep are reporting issues with it too. When I run the simPE updater doohickey, it tells me it can't find the server. So I'm guessing it's down.

I can get there. Sounds to me like more DNS problems, like the one that kept me (and others) from MATY for the past week. Try navigating through a proxy, like http://www.reliableproxy.com/

Works for me. Probably just a dumb DNS issue. Use a different nameserver or proxy.

Thanks everyone.  I tried the site katenigma suggested, and I was able to get in.  I've never used a proxy before, so I wasn't sure how to go about finding one.

It was down all yesterday but is back up now without problems - at least for me.

I tried using reliableproxy.com to get to simpe's website and got the following error message:

"URL Error (0): An error has occured while trying to browse through the proxy.
Failed to connect to the specified host. Possible problems are that the server was not found, the connection timed out, or the connection refused by the host. Try connecting again and check if the address is correct."

I made several attempts.  I was trying to access http://www.sims.ambertation.de/ which I believe is the correct address.

It's really down right now. When I looked earlier, it wasn't a server can't be found (404) error, it was a database error. So it's the site itself, not just something along the path.

Speaking that thing, will SimPE ever have a 1.0 version?  Hell, it's been in Beta longer than most Google products.

SimPE's Splash in 6.02 (latest Binary on Sourceforge) has a Window around it called "SplashForm" and it also seemed to lose most of the Windows Forms stuff (looks quite a bit better than 2003 Office Style IMO).  These problems are probably caused by .NET 3.0 and I doubt Quaxi will upgrade the code to it anytime soon since they upgraded to 2.0 "for Vista".
