Vampires and Gardening...A question about motives...

Hey all,
I've just recently gotten Nightlife and have started playing a Vampire..
My question is this...
Are Vampire's motives supposed to go down at all at night? With anything I've done,as far as I can tell, their motives stay the same, but when I was gardening, the Vampire sim lost energy and hygiene.  Is this a bug?  For some reason I thought that motives stayed static for Vampires.
I'd appreciate any guidance on this issue...Perhaps I should have added to the thread for Nightlife bugs, but I'm just not sure if it's my own ignorance....Perhaps I am the gray mound of fatness, and not Inge.

I've noticed the same thing when my Vampire is working out at night. Her Hygiene goes down, albeit very slowly. Not sure why this is.

Their motives won't decay naturally at night, but can still be lowered by objects and the like.
