Just came back from a LONG sims break, need some advice

Hello guys, I stopped playing sims 2 for about half a year now, and I just came back.
I still have all the old hacks and my old download folders, with OFB stuffs. everything i downloaded before
Now i got the PETs expansion, can anyone give me a general idea of what will be conflicting etc when I install the Pets expansion
not just Pescado's hacks, also other hacks available on the net in general.
or if you know there is a list of conflicting/updates floating somewhere on the net, please kindly provide a link.

I think you've got a lot of work to do.

For starters, you can d'l Pescado's and Twojeff's directors' cut for pets.

After that, I think you'll have to what most of us have done and go on your own hack update hunt

Syberspunk posted a list somewhere - try a search on his name.  I think he's updating it for Seasons now but the old information is still there.  Helpfully, he tested several other people's mods as well.

Dizzy, where exactly are your hacks?  I just searched for the first one mentioned - attraction-look-at-pets - and the only result was this thread.

update SimPe  with the version for pets and microsoft .netframework as the Pets Sim Pe only works with 2.0 1.0 is now obsolete for SimPE. CEP also has to be updated to the version for pets. I don't envy you . you have a lot of updating to do.as Pet created havoc with hacks, fixes and body shop. body shop is not recognized by prior EP's so  EA put out a patch for that. If your game isn't broken otherwise  I dont reccomend  the full pets patch though as it creates  a new set of problems
    The old cliche if it aint broke why fix it is a good rule to follow with the full pets patch. goodluck. Seasons however is the  shocker as it appears to not need  a ton of fixes .it's relatively problem free  which is a rarity from EA

I'm doing exactly the same. Same time frame, even.  I've been lurking around, trying to get back up to date.  I'm hoping to install Pets tonight or tomorrow.

I haven't looked at hacks outside of MATY yet. I only have a couple of those.

Actually, that's half true.  I updated the list, but I overwrote i.e. got rid of the old info for zOMGWTFPETZ!111 Sowweee.  I figured that was old info and no one cared.  Plus, since I don't have my own section, I didn't want to have to start a new thread each and everytime a new EP reared it's ugly bug filled head.  So... I thought it would be less messy for me to just re-use the old one.

Maybe next time I will go ahead and start a completely new thread, and leave the previous one alone, for archival purposes.

If you were using any of my hacks, just check the individual threads and see if I had to make an update for Pets.  If there isn't one, then assume the older version is safe.

There are a couple of mods I have on MTS2 that I couldn't post here cuz of file size, or cuz I first posted them on MTS2 and had never bothered to cross post over here.  You could easily locate them by just filtering on my username (the same pretty much everywhere).  I think I have a direct link in my sig.
