After less than 24 hours of having the game, I already am desperate for an anti-it's raining/snowing/hailing hack! For crying out loud, when I'm asleep at night, I don't suddenly know that it's snowing and wake up to run to the window to complain or cheer. And there's sure no reason for them to drop actions to do this multiple times if it continues! I can see it being cute every now and then, if the Sim was idling, but to drop actions 5+ times for every single longish storm?!?! Who's bright idea was that? Stupid EA.

I would love to see a hack to adjust the days left per season (on a per-household basis if possible). I have over 30 families and I play them in rotation one Sim day at a time. At this rate, it will take me weeks of real-time play before I see a change of seasons. (Naturally I don't plan to wait that long!) I would really prefer to have different houses on different seasons, if that's possible.
Also - an update to the clothingtool to plan outfit for outerwear would be much appreciated.
On the plus side: All my custom hair seems to be working fine, as are my custom careers. I like the "leftovers" option on the fridge. And the fact that multiples of the same item in the inventory are now marked as x2, x3, etc. so they don't clutter up the inventory screen.

ISTJ - what a crazy random happenstance

Stupid EA.
Lol... ingenious! Quick question, does this action always happen, or is it... motive, mood, personality, aspiration dependent... I might actually think this is kinda cute... but it should only happen maybe under certain conditions, so it doesnt happen so excessively. Ste

I thought you could buy the weather machine to change the season

I would really prefer to have different houses on different seasons, if that's possible. You can. Save the lot in whatever season you wish. Per the guide, all home lots keep track of thir own seasons but the most recently saved lot sets the season in the neighborhood view and at any community lot visited by your Sims from the last saved home lot.

The Weather Machine can prolong seasons for one day, three/four days or forever. Other features include manipulating special weather effects (rain/slow/etc). The aspiration cost is low (less than SimVac) and comes with three uses capacity.
About the thread question, it was just the annoying weather reactions already said. I'll test the test file.

This may just be me, but has anyone else noticed that during a game of marcopolo, sims that have high attraction for each, kinda snap out of the water to standing position to do the fingerlicking motion with the little hearts above their heads, then sink back into the pool again? First glitch ive seen. Also if someone could tell me how to keep the damn trees from getting sickly (yes ive got the ladybug majiggy) that would be awesome

I've experienced sims standing on water while swimming when compelled to whine about a low motive ever since the beginning. A favourite is usually: "I'm not sleeping in a bed with <sim>!" followed by a light backstroke. Likely to be unexpected animation sequences.

naw you can't click on them, save for when they need pruning. The only way ive figured so far is when your a plantperson you can talk to them. But surely theres a way for normal sims as well?

Not that I've noticed. I just tend & spray whenever possible and only apply for garden society membership in winter when the trees are dormant.

As your Sim gets a higher plant badge and tends the trees, they improve. They are hard to keep from being sickly at first, but then it's easy to keep them thriving just by tending them when they need it and keeping the ladybug house next to them. As long as your Sim has a silver or gold badge.

I must say I really appreciate the ability to set hair style according to clothing. No more going to bed with a fancy updo, or wearing a beautiful evening gown with your hair in pigtails!

I was over that the second time they ran to the windows. They will drop everything every single time it snows/rains/etc.
I would mind it if it was only once, like the first time a sim sees snow.
It even does it with free will off.
Grrr.
Willing to test any hack etc. I've had my game going for 2 days now, and otherwise love it.
Maybe a hack to stop the pond freezing over. Its not like you can skate on it or anything.

Thank you, I didn't think to look for any new aspiration rewards until you mentioned this. I don't have the Prima guide.

There are only three types of tree that need to be tended like this and if you don't plant veges it will all be just the same as normal.
I'm missing the sleepclock and the bathroom and baby controllers the most.
