As far as I have seen, there is no way to switch between windowed mode and full screen mode on Mac or Windows, but you can hide TS2 on mac by pressing Apple H, or something like that.
Really? Why did I think there was a way in the Windows version? I must be hallucinating again.
Thanks, simsbaby and Marhis, for the tip -- I guess I figured if the "switch to next application" was disabled, then "hide" would be too. The things you learn.
