What the, Townie has no phone?

Okay here's my problem I sent my sim to downtown to check it out and find her a date.  I found someone had them flirt and talk and such and when she went home i tried to call the person.  Problem is i get a message saying this sim has no phone.  Now i thought okay so i'll give the person a phone, i checked the entire neighbourhood, college AND downtown and couldn't find the person living anywhere.  The only conclusion is the person is a townie, how can i possibly give a townie a phone?

If anyone knows how to give a townie a phone or maybe where i can download some sort of teleporter hack so i can teleport the person onto my lot it would be greatly appreciated.  I searched for a teleporter on mod the sims but came up empty handed not like you can ever find too much on that site easily anyway.  I also checked simpe but saw no way of adding a cell phone to the person.

Sorry if this has been asked before but i found no mention of it, i hope someone can help me.

Easiest way to give a phone to a townie:

boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true

shift-click townie

add cellphone.

If you want teleporters, get one from www.simlogical.com

Thanks Jordi i went to simlogical and downloaded a teleporter i'm sure it'll fix my problem.  As for the testing cheats i am aware of that but if you can't even find the sim you can't possibly use the testing cheats on them to add a phone.

Also I'd like to say this forum is the best.  Any other i would have waited a day plus for a reply instead of 6 minutes.

Personally, I think every sim should just start with a cellphone. Maybe someday we could get SimPE or Datgen or some other program to just run a batch scan and give every sim the cellphone token.

Yeah i know what you mean that would be handy, i personally don't even go downtown to buy the cell phones.  On my computer it takes too long to load so i just use the testing cheats to give them one.

the incessant ringing I could cope with...  the horrid messages when people call to say where are you I could sort of cope with...  I generally just use autoyak to make sure relationships stay high...  but not being able to call people with cell phones in the family bin is driving me nuts!

I have that prob but it is with a child and she isn't listed with the summoner(insiminator).  I think she is a respawn.  Next time I see her I'll change her into a teen and give her a cell.
