DOWN WITH CHEESE!
|
ok, topic title says it all...
Whenevery I try to make the holiday roast, I get the empty fridge dialogue, even in cases where the fridge has just been freshly stocked with groceries. Any ideas about the weirdness is that is causing this?
I have the 2006 holiday pack, if that is relevant.

Got the cornucopia on the lot? The holiday roast only works if this decoration is present.

I think they overestimate the cultural baggage of Sims players.

I would think that the option to cook the roast would just not be present without the cornucopia - at least that's what it was like with the 2005 holiday pack... could they really have been that stupid with the 2006 one? Don't answer that, I think I know the answer!

Well, they did something really insane with the holiday pack and Pets. I now have two "throw party" menus, one has the normal parties, the other the Xmas ones. It would not surprise me if they also messed up the food in some way.

Thanks Yes, it works with Pets & I've never had the restock fridge dialog come up when trying to cook the roast. I do have 2jeffs fridge waring mod installed but i don't have other custom foods - other than the ones Squinge or I did. I just got so sick of having to have that stupid cornucopia in every house! I don't know why they did it like that to start with.... but then, since when has anything sims related ever made any sense? I'd try taking out custom foods & see if that clears up the problem. I don't have any custom foods! I've added the no-cornucopia hack, but I haven't tested again to see if that fixes the problem. I think we can put this one down to maxian stupidity.

So what's a Gyro - other than a slang term for the dole in the UK?

Lamb rolled in pita bread. It's yummy and the only place in town that made them changed owners and menus. If I can't have them, I want them for my Sims!

To be more precise, gyros are a delicious Greek pita wrap sandwich that's made from strips of a pressed lamb/beef (and sometimes chicken) base, usually with tzatziki sauce and stuff like lettuce, onions, tomatoes and feta cheese filling out the wrap. They're to die for... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyros

Sounds very similar to turkish kebabs as they're served here in New Zild. I love those.
