Phone Hacks Question

Is it safe to have more than One Phone Hacks from this site, or do I need to choose one.
Which ones would work well together, and which ones dont work with each other?

This has probably already been asked, so I apologize for asking again.

Also which ones would you recommend, I like to be able to have family members call each other even if they haven't met.
(The option never shows up for me though, so I think I've done something wrong.)
Is there a phone hack with a neighborhood directory like the UNI campus has a directory?

These phone hacks work together, and are designed to do so.

1) Make sure you've got the right version for your expansion packs.  Other than that, phonehack and autoyak work together.

2) Click on the Sim and pick Call->Family.  You should get a dialog of the people you're related to.

The "Call Family" option only shows up if you have family members who have a less than 95 short-term relationship with the caller *and* if there are family members available to talk to.  So if you're trying to introduce your uni sim to his teenaged cousin, you'll have to wait until school is out.  The "Call Family" function is a feature of AutoYak, not the phone hack.  If you're still having problems, try removing it from the directory and downloading a new one.  Also, autoyak doesn't work with just the base game.

Actually, clicking on the Sim only works if you have a cell phone in his inventory.  It should work from a regular phone by clicking it.  If you have other (non-awesome) hacks, they may be conflicting--try putting only AutoYak and the phone hack in the directory and see if you can do it then.

Clicking on a sim works *IF* you have a cellphone *OR* you have Pets + Macrotastics. Clicking on wallphone no longer works as of Pets, it must be launched from the sim menu.

If this hack weren't so damned awesome, I'd be irritated by its irregularity in usage.

I haven't verified whether or not it works base-game. The usage was regular up until Pets, where the arbitrary Pets phone changes broke it.

Oh.  It didn't work for me -- I only have the base game at ... *ahem* ... my office and it renders the phone completely unusable.
