Who are you talking too on the phone, again?

Like all sims being controlled by awesome power idle, one gets up and calls his friends, but he does something really odd. He appears to be talking to no one on the phone. No face is queried and he won't stop until I use the lot debugger to clear the non-existant loiterer. I had to take his phone away and the phone in the house because he will chat until he drops dead. Even the power idle options won't regain control of him.

This does not happen with any other sims.

This is a sim made in body shop.

I've seen something similar happen when my sims called people who had been banned from the lot...  getting the sim to the lot and removing the ban (twojeffs visitor controller) fixed the phone problem.

AH! I have that hack and the sim is a friend of the newspaper boy. That explains it.

Sounds like the Jeffistani Visitor Controller is bugged and should not be attempting to zap sims that are not actually on the world.

That certainly seems to be what's going on.

Where I noticed it was in a particular dorm - I'd banned certain profs from the lot with one group of students, they all graduated and moved back to the main hood, then their children moved to uni and were put in the same dorm.  When they called a prof to talk, the face would initially appear in the queue, then it would vanish - presumably from the visitor controller zapping them...  The problem fixed itself when I got the profs unbanned.  Happened with both call friends being pushed by power idle and when they were manually directed - I think I should head on over to the thread and report the problem!

It really shouldn't be vaporizing "offlot" sims who are not actually in the world.

reported...  at the time I was experiencing the problem I was just looking for a way to make an immediate fix.  I usually only ban cow mascots and have never wanted to make friends with them. I'm really not sure why I banned the profs...

Bug squished, redownload. I've updated all the released versions of the VC since this bug has always been there from the first verison.
