I would like links to teleporters that work in PETS. I've never used a non-Insimenator version of a teleporter, so I don't know where to look. I didn't realize how much I used the Insim teleporter until I played my game last night.

His simteleporter also works in pets. You can teleport (add) a sim to another family, including the townie pool, without playing the sim.
I meant christainlov's.

Does "add neighbor to family" on the tombstone of L&D work at all for pets? I haven't tried yet.

Thank you, Jordi and Karen. I don't mind if I can't teleport pets, I just want a teleporter that doesn't turn my game in to blue ice.

I looked everywhere in debug for a way to teleport in a (stray) pet, I could not find one - although that learned behav obj is pretty darn handy.
I had found the perfect pet for a family - a stray that came to visit one night - and never returned...pft! Not sure if its because I tried to fence it in or what (to which he escaped from! pft) So I used ChristianLov's pet teleport which worked fine - except that it seems you cant adopt the stray once you teleport it in, you can move it in, but the option to adopt the pet is not on the pet menu - I guess the animal has to come of its own freewill? Which isnt a big deal unless every sim in the house wants to obtain a pet and that 5K want wont be satisfied with the move in pet from the teleporter.
Another interesting thing I found with it, I saw in pets to teleport screen that I could transport in a matching female dog (to match the male stray). Now the male stray was in the available dogs to adopt over the phone, but the female one I teleported in, was not. I dont know where she came from, I can only guess perhaps she was from DT or Bluewater? So I had to just move her in - actually I moved them both in rather than pay to adopt the first one, I wonder what the price I pay for doing that will be...

I desperately need a teleporter that works the opposite way. I want an option to turn owned pets into strays/townies.

RTWFT (Read The Whole F***ing Thread). That link was already posted in post #2. And that's not even what the original poster was looking for. And the only other thing people were looking for was a teleporter that worked in the opposite way (turning household pets into strays). |

You could of course set the pet in the Stray family with SimPE, strays are family ID 32762 (0x7FFA).

In my game at least, selling a pet to a townie makes it a stray.

I would love to see an option to teleport only pets of one particular gender. Christianlov's pet teleporter works great, but too often when I am looking for a potential mate for a pet, I end up choosing one from the teleporter list that is the same gender as my pet. Really, how are you supposed to tell from the name whether "Waggles" is male or female? Too often you can't tell until you've already teleported the pet into the house, and that wastes a lot of time. It would be a lot better to be able to see beforehand whether the pet you choose is male or female.
