THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Whilst playing the Dreamer household, I noticed that Maxis EA have decided to be a bit stingy with the pet chance cards.

The programmers probably based the bonus on EA's bonus/overtime policy towards them.  Cheesy

That would explain why the expansion packs are always so buggy  Cheesy

The DOG allegedly used a machine??  WTF?  That surprises me far more than the lousy "bonus".

Not only that, but from the way they put it, it seems as if he actually built it.

All the chance cards are wiggy in that way. They have pets doing things like making speeches and firing each other. A mystery of the Maxian mind.

Ugh.  I hope someone more awesome than me makes a hack with more sensible text on all the pet career chance cards before I get this expansion.   Tongue

That is dumb. Making speeches and firing? Shouldn't they be restricted to pulling Timmy out of the well?

Not sure whether I did or not, I was too busy gazing with my mouth open at my lack of bonus  Smiley

I think we are going to need more than a hack for this problem.  I am thinking PATCH.  and God only knows how long that will take them.   Roll Eyes

It is rather funny though. They could have a least gave him a doggy treat.  lol

My cat got a $10,000 bonus. Actually, the pets are pretty good earners, and they don't cost that much too keep. Starting a Legacy with a pet or two would definitely make that first week a lot easier.

i have to send the pets out to work and keep the sim unemployed just so he/she can keep up with the pet maintenance and training  Undecided

then 2 cats in one household got fired on the first day of their jobs due to me clicking at random on the chance cards they got ( i never read the scenarios to these things i just click whichever option my cursor gets to first) only they weren't actually fired......their jobs remained viable and off they went the next day as if nothing had happened

A "hefty bonus of $0" reminds me of being "critically hit for 0 points of damage. Feel the pain.". It sounds almost sarcastic, when you know it wasn't actually meant to be.

At least with this card, it sounds like something an animal could do. Too bad they can't get maternity leave like the sims - it would give more time to teach them skills. My simmies are turning into slave drivers - stay home and watch the new commercials on SimsTV while sending Fido out to earning some simoleans.

That is pretty easy to do with a single sim getting to the top of just about any career track.

I am more interested in having nearly 40 family friends. Ha.
