error when calling service/maid (Pets)
« on: 2006 October 18, 22:43:04 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

when my sim called service to hire a maid I got this error (invalid species). I have the same error with or without hacks.
At the time no maid exists in the neighbourhood. I will try making one with the NL NPC maker tree and report back.
Pioupiou.
ETA : As soon as I made some NPCs with the tree, the error is gone. By the way it seems that you need to switch to making downtownies for the tree to correctly make NPCs.

I have a different error, also from Call...Service.  It works fine from a regular phone but Call...Service generates the attached error when you call from a cell phone.  This is not specific to any particular option (maid/nanny/whatever); the error occurs before you even get to choose the type of service you are calling.

I have the updated phonehack installed.

I got the same error message.. I posted it here before noticing this thread, tried generating some maids with the tree, and it solved everything.. Thread deleted.. Thanks for figuring it out!
