I can't find the original thread for the hack, so I'm asking here.

How are service sims affected by the No Townie Regen hack? In other words, if I marry off one of the three standard maids, does the hack prevent a new third one from being made? Same thing with murdered nannies?

If that's the case, is there a point where the game esplodes because there aren't enough service NPCs to do their jobs?

Notownieregen doesn't affect service NPCs, they'll regenerate normally.

And JMP has a hack in testing that keeps the NPCs from regenerating when there's two or more available.  It keeps each NPC type to just one.

That's a hack that I anxiously await.  I had the stupido headmaster over and made friends with him, and the next time I tried to get my sim into private school, I got a new headmaster (who, btw, looked exactly the same as the first one with only a difference in skintone and hair color....unbelievably uggles as well, lol) This happened just one day after the other one was generated.

That hack is "antiredundancy". The game will only create one of each type of NPC. If say you happen to fire your maid and decide to hire another one, then the game will create a new maid for you to hire.
