Can a transformable diploma be made?

It drives me crazy that diplomas can only be hung on walls, and not placed on tabletops or shelves.
Would it be possible to make a transformable diploma at all?  The only person I've ever seen do anything similar is Numenor, and he didn't seem overly enthusiastic about the idea.
I suspect it wouldn't be an easy thing to do, and I know it's not a Pescado-type hack.  Anyone else keen on the idea?

Numenor did make me a "hide diplomas when walls are down" hack, but I don't think he plays enough Uni to have much of a testing ground for this.  He mentioned that he'd need a mesh, but that could be borrowed from the OFB deeds (although that would limit compatibility).
I's sad, since he might be the only person who really knows how to do it.  I don't have enough modding background to even consider asking him to explain to me how to.
