so if th staris are busy the sim will wait.. or he can use it at the same time with other sim...

that things "hey... i can't use it  !!!" coming to boring...

I thought this was fixed with a patch or game? My sims hardly do that foolishness anymore. I could be wrong though, but that's just what I have been experiencing.

No, Mike, althought you might be using the modular stairs. On the modular stairs, sims see each step as a different object, but on the normal staircases the whole thing is one object, so sims can only use it one at a time.

Ah, I see. I hardly have normal staircases, mostly all of them are modular. A hack for normal staircases would be quite convenient.

Meh, if you want something quick for your immediate use, get squinge to do it. He's pulling hacks out of his behind everyday. He basically owns the entire Global Mods section at MTS2. But always remember:

Quick + Squinge = Not awesome.

Since the Maxis stairs are so ugly and humongous, I almost always use Boblishman's open-plan stairs from MTS2. Since OFB, sims can't actually walk up and down these stairs, but just sort of teleport, which may be just what you need. 

Plus, you can use the MoveObects cheat to place decorative items beneath them.

I know what you mean. In one of my houses, the bed is on the third floor, and my romance sim has to ask his partners to join him three times before they finally make it up the stairs. Otherwise they see him on the stairs and stomp around like idiots then go make a sandwich or something.

I've lost track of the number of times I've found Sims who should be at school or work playing the piano or lazing in the bath, all because they've got stuck at the top of the stairs.  I've even had to buy a new car, even add a driveway, just to get them to where they should be.

yes.. everytime i use moveObjects On option and i put the sims on the right place... but it's booooooring

This is why I always use Targa's elevators (they have only one tile place) just behind or just near the main stairs. So my sims have a choice and normally I no longer had the stuck problem.

I use the elevators too, or the modular stairs. The regular stair-cases are far too large and bulky and obstruct too many things. I used booblisman's stairs too, but since OFB they teleport anyway, so I just use Targa's elevator and have the luxury of using one tile only per elevator. A little halfwall or glass fencing around it, and it's quite acceptable to look at.

I use targa's elevators alot myself. The maxis elevators are a pain in the butt, I'd never build with them. I prefer having stairs in houses though, I just wish that if the stairs are blocked, the sim in question would wait with patiently with his action still in que, then go when the stairs were clear.

Apparently, Maxis thinks the retarded stomping followed by dropping everything out of their que is more reasonable.
