What am I doing wrong? (MATY downloads and custom objects not appearing)

Okies, so I had to reinstall.  Yes, I admit it, the dippy gunbunny fubared her game.  FFS forked up, so I uninstalled it, and OFB works great... with one little problem.  Custom bodyshop stuff shows up fine; MATY downloads and custom objects, nada.  I checked to make sure cc was displayed in the catalog.  I moved my downloads out, let the game generate a new d-folder, and moved the stuff back in.  Same thing.  Did I miss a step somewhere?

Make sure it's selected in the options, then save and exit.  Go back in and it should be there.

There's been a few problems where people had to let their game generate an entirely new Sims 2 folder, even on brand-new installs.  Try that next.

I did both of those already.  That's why I'm cheesed off. (no pun)  I'm not quite sure what to try next.

Wait, an entirely new Sims2 folder?  Not just the downloads?  How is that done?

No, I mean, again, remove your Sims 2 folder and let it regen another new one.  After a new installation that sometimes happens, it happened to a few people I know.

I just modified my response.  Is it just pull-out and restart?

Well, first drag your Sims 2 folder to the desktop and then start the game.  It'll take awhile as it has to generate a new game.  Enable CC and then save and exit.

Put your Downloads folder back in and it should be working now.

Remove the following things from your folder.
Config ( backup your cheats list if you edited it)
ContentRegistry
Groups.cache

Then let the game regenerate those files, edit the settings to your liking and reload. That should clear up any problems you have.

Actually, I did all that stuff before I posted.  I finally--FINALLY--got it to work by going into the setting and manually forcing it to recognise cc.  *smacks it*   Just got it going ten seconds ago.
