problem with installing FFP

it gets fully installed, the desktop icon is for family fun pack, but the loading screen is still for OFB, then, the neighborhood screen is grey, and none of the lots are selectable.

It appears that people over at the bbs have this problem as well, but there aren't any solutions.

can anyone help?

system is more than capable of running the program, and all custom content has been removed

Umm, I might try uninstalling it, then reinstalling.

FFP was engineered by the devil. Why else would a bunch of custom content fubar the game so badly for so many people? It is evil, evil stuff. Every time I am even halfway tempted to install it for some pretty looking item or other, I just resolve myself that EA and the devil will not get my soul.

FFP works for me. No problems installing it, patching it, or mini-imaging it and running it with Daemon Tools + ASR.
