It wasn't possible in Sims 1 to enter a lot unless you moved a family into it.  Later expansion packs may have changed this, but I remember being frustrated that I couldn't see what the house looked like unless I had a family with enough money to buy it and move into it.

I'm a big fan of Emma's houses, especially her basic starter series.  I also like most of the 'Newbie Road' houses that have been poping up on MTS2.
The problem with Emma-houses is that they tend to be lacking essential design features for normal play, like, say, bathrooms, because Emma cheats and never thinks of these things.

Umm-I don't cheat! I just don't furnish the houses. Because I'm lazy Tongue There are usually 2 bathrooms upstairs and at least one downstairs-you just have to use your imaginations to which room is which!
Some of my houses are furnished, but I like to have empty houses to start play in-because I don't cheat! I only upload what I use myself.

jsalemi - Kiss Glad you like my stuff Grin

I checked out Emma's houses, and they look very nice.  And they all appear to have at least one bathroom.  I don't know where Pescado got the idea that they don't have bathrooms.  Roll Eyes  Perhaps he thought the smaller rooms were walk-in closets?

I love Emma's cosy-cottage starter house; it's where my little old granny woman used to live (kind of like the crazy old cat lady), until I married her off to Mortimer. Cheesy

They didn't all have this problem, and I don't actually download them, somebody else, I think Fat Head, noticed this.

Oh would you shut the fuck up with that stupid name already!  It's fine if you want to say I have a fat head, it's a totally different thing for you to call me that.   Roll Eyes

As for saying Emma's houses don't have bathrooms, uhh...no I didn't.  I like her lots.  And her houses.  Wink

At the risk of my own lips I always think of JM like the comic book guy in the Simpsons  (runs away to hide in a corner wearing bag on head stolen from TLS)
