Sims no longer lit up even with lights on?

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Hi all,
I just did a complete reinstall of my game (due to nvidia driver issues) and now suddenly my sims are all dark, even with lights on.  Strangely, their hair is lit up, but otherwise, the sims themselves aren't reflecting any light.
I have been searching for nearly an hour now because I was sure I saw someone else that had this issue, but I can't seem to find that thread...It may have been from another site.
Has anyone else had this issue?  And is there anything I can do to fix it?
I do have radiance lighting installed, but oddly, I had it installed before I reinstalled the game, and I didn't have this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!

I had the same issue, and I also have radiance lighting installed, but I don't know if they're related, b/c I've been using it fine for a while now. It's just with one sim in my case - the Maxis premade Mr.Tinker in Bluewater. He was fine for one session, but the 2nd time I played him, he went entirely dark indoors. In one room, he's so dark, he's basically solid black - no detail or shadows at all. It varies from room to room, and he's fine outdoors. None of his family is afflicted. I tried resetting him, but no luck. I haven't tried further troubleshooting though, as his family isn't exactly my favorite to play.

No idea what causes it though...

Sims not lighting up is a feature of Gunmod's mod.

Ah, ok...I'll try removing it and see if that helps.  I just wonder why it was fine before...

Could the patch make a difference?
ie would gunmod's radiance mod behave differently after a patch?

Every once in a while there's an odd event such as this in my game. If you select something in the room where your sim is, does it become "lit" again?
