THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I'll help. I'll check in tomorrow. I have to try to remember her site by heart.

Edit: Actually, I just figured out how to use google's caches to see all her pages. I will cut and paste text and sort all the files tomorrow. Then I will put up a list of what we still need donated.

Le sigh...

I'm going through lists and descriptions right now, I'll edit this post with things that I don't seem to have.  I also don't know what is compatible with what, as google cache doesn't seem to let me see that. If you have information about discontinued or obsolete stuff, please let me know.  Tongue:

No Autonomy Read To  Stops adults deciding to read to children autonomously.  But allows a child to ask to be read to.

Wait... are you saying you loved her bush? Grin

Sorry... couldn't resist.

I hope to at least see Inge around in chat. It's a shame that it's all gone. I wonder then if Peter will no longer be updating PSJE either. And what of tuna? Will he be forever locked away in his cage? Poor tuna! Cheesy

Well... if he ever does get free, maybe he might take up the reigns on PSJE? Or... any word on the Torkle PE? Was that Torkle who was workin on something? Or did I imagine that?

Anyhew, I'm babbling and wandering off topic. I hope Inge remains part of the community even if she has decided to stop modding.

Yes please, to Sims2Files@gmail.com Smiley

I'm so tired and my eyes are crossed. I tried to go to bed like an hour ago but the Yahoo group mash of files all in one section was bugging me so I had to fix it a little lol.

I'd have to say her baby bottle was my favorite item; with that, I knew my toddlers would survive the stupidity of any Nanny.

I understand...  I sent those from my real email, with yetyak in the subject line so you'll know what they are.  Too late in the day to try to figure out attachements on yahoo mail, although I'm sure it isn't very hard.

Hi Blue, I've sent a couple of zips to you via email. I've also uploaded the school rar file with webpage included, plus some misc. OFB hacks.

The noempty potty is not working with OFB and Inge recommended - is it Crammyboy's hack?

BTW I'm nz_wiccan @ yahoo. And witch3 in my other email. Smiley

A damn shame Inge decided to pull the plug. Her mods will surely be missed. My best wishes to her, wherever she is, whatever she does.

Oh well done.  I got this this morning from her yahoo group:

With effect from yesterday, the Simlogical website and forums are
closed and I do not envisage creating any more content to share in the
near future if at all.

You can carry on cloning and sharing my work between yourselves,
however I can no longer offer support for hacks I have previously
created, sorry.

I will continue to pop up on various forums as a normal player, when I
find time to play.

Inge

Oh sorry Database - looks like you got there before me.

Bluesoup - I'll help you out with the files on the Yahoo Group if I can.

I got that mail as well and it struck me odd...

Not that she owes us any explanation but I would like to know why she left like this.

It just seems like something you'ld do if you were fed up with all the crap in this community rather than how you'ld handle it if you just didn't have time to keep up with the stuff.Whatever her reasoning is it's sad to see her go.

I have a lot of Inge's stuff in my game and will certainly miss her creations, not to mention the fact that it peeves me to lose a BRITISH modder who puts yoos in her words.  I am annoyed now because I never did get around to downloading the school stuff and also there was a new mod she put on a few days ago that I didn't download at the time for some reason and now I can't even remember what it was!

Hmm, I have her 'noemptypot' in my game, and I have all three EPs, and it still works fine. Sure you have the latest version? (dated 10/31/04)

You thinking of the one I've attached, that fixes the bug with townies obsessing about stuff behind locked doors?  Very handy, and AFAIK the last mod she posted.

Hey Inge

Just thought i'd say hello, and thanks for all the hard work.

I understand your situation exactly, and am contemplating the same thing myself.

It's certainly not easy to know what to do...

Blue, re: compatibility...her no clearing dishes at community lots is *not* compatible with OFB (found that out the hard way Tongue ) Hope that helps a bit.

I can also upload this to the Yahoo group, I deleted it from my downloads folder but I think I still have the file elsewhere...forgot to mention this one in my first message to the group.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I just heard about Inge leaving today.  I've been having PC problems and I'm a bit behind on messages.  I can't believe she just quit like this.  I heard her say something in chat one day about maybe someday she might take a break, but when I questioned her about it, she never really answered.  I kinda forgot about it, because I guess I didn't want it to be true.  I have a lot of her hacks that are indispensable, as do the rest of you.  While I know I have them saved and others in the community have copies, without ongoing support, some of these hacks will become useless when installing new EPs, just like some of Dizzy's hacks have.  This is one reason I haven't jumped on the OFB wagon just yet.  I am still trying to figure out which hacks will work and which I will have to do without.  At least some of the hacks were updated for OFB, so I'm glad that I can grab them from the Yahoo group.  I will sorely miss her work.  She was one of the few female modders out there, and I was proud of that.

Of course a modder is more than just their work, but Inge put a lot of herself into her hacks.  The type of hacks she created and her philosophy about how she wanted to play the sims was her own.  She once said that she created mods in order to help the sims behave more logically, hence the name of her site, in contrast to Pescado's philosophy, which is that sims are innately stupid and should be under strict control and never allowed to do anything autonomously.  I like playing with a combination of these methods.  Inge was (is?) an excellent modder, and her hacks were of the highest quality.  She even helped me to convert her autonomous study bookcase for the other bookcases in the game.  I have those if anyone is interested...I finally got all the recolors working.  I may not have agreed with all of her views, but it is obvious from the discussions we've had here that none of us will ever totally agree with each other.

I will just end this here by saying that Inge will be sorely missed.   Cry

Inge, if you read this, I want to add a heartfelt "Thank you" from me as well.
