Maxis violation of Servo's civil rights

Chloe Lee Bisgrove will graduate from Uni tonight, summa cum laude plus a gold talent badge in robotics.

I thought it would be fitting if Chloe's departing gift to her three roomies could be a Servo, to help keep the place clean, do term papers, homework, etc.  So she built one as her last Uni hurrah.

Upon attempting to initialize Servo, however, the Uni officials issued a warning to "HALT!" - citing only students and teachers are allowed on campus! 

Well that certainly is balderdash since the sentry and clean bots operate just fine in Uni. 

Blatant discrimination, I say.

As much as I'd love to see a demonic Servo in a rampage, obliterating whoever crossed his path at the student union, Chloe is engaged to Maxwell Bennington, who owns Benny's Bots.

So I think I'll marry them off and put her Servo up for sale for about $65K - she can pay off her studen loans

At least the sentry bot works.  Can't wait till the streaker runs through the Uni digs while that bot is on.

Couldn't find my original avatar after the meltdown of MATY so grabbed this one because it sort of looks like my namesake (Ziggy, who is actually a quite comical standard poodle).  At least the top of the head, that is.

Adults can't technically live on campus, if you're playing by Maxis rules. Servo is considered an adult. Servo also requires a considerable amount of social attention which makes it a bad choice for university lots since normally, your students don't have time to babysit a servo as they're too busy working, building up Greek Houses and other Uni-type activities.

I've never noticed Servo requiring anything in the way of social attention, my Servo seems to do fine without any special social efforts.

Then again, I have him working as a salesdroid, so perhaps he gets all he needs that way.

That's a great job for an outgoing Servo.  Their social needs are just like any other sim.  They need some social, but it all depends on personality.  Mine is on the shy side.  He likes building robots but also likes the whole sales thing in the store.
