Fly infested pie

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I have one slice of pie that was left out of the cooler in my home bakery and now is infested with flies.

When I placed it on the dining room table, I cannot order any Sim to clean it up nor will the maid do it - even after a $100 tip!

Can't delete it in the buy mode or by using moveobjects.  Sure don't want to put it back on sale and ruin the bakery's stellar reputation by making some customer deathly ill.

I've moved it to the edge of the pond at the end of the lot and surrounded it with bamboo.

Any ideas how to get rid of it?  Thanks....

Have you tried Pescado's Stuck Objects Remover?  http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=1609.0

That usually works for me when all other options fail.

...Or you could place it on a cheap counter or table, then delete the table using moveobjects on.

Is the pie marked for sale by any chance?  If so, have you tried unmarking it and then deleting it?

Do you have Inge's hack that stops sims from cleaning up plates on community lots?

Thanks for the responses - no hacks and I didn't think of putting it on a table then deleting the table.  Will try that after work.

It just seems odd that the moveobjects won't work on the plate - it always did with nonbusiness food.

The pie slice probably was marked for sale because I moved it out of the cooler when I was trying to restock and didn't know what I was doing, obviously.  On the other hand, when I go into the business mode and try to put the slice back in the cooler, I get the set price popup.

This was my experimental home business; both parents are just about maxed on all skills and hold top jobs.  The teen was maxed on body, logic and creativity before he even transitioned from a child to a teen so he runs the register when not at school.

Micha Eliza is one job away from becoming a mad scientist and thus getting to permanent platinum, so I might have the business go on vacation for a few days then retire both adults, send the son off to Uni, and let them give full attention to the business.

You might also try toggling the for-sale bit.  I.e. mark it as for sale, and then mark it again as not for sale.

You can't delete objects that are for sale, except for out-of-stock signs.  This may be related.

How do you mark items NOT for sale?  I couldn't figure it out.
