I discovered a new cheat code in the cheat console box: loadLot <lotName> [optional: family name] loads the lot and possibly moves in family.I tried it and it works just like Pescado's lot-jumping feature of the Lot Timer. Just in case you didn't know about this.  |

Um, I've seen it when I access the cheat console for cheat spellings I've forgotten, but never tried it. I'm still on NL only, so if you've been using the lot timer happily all this time, maybe it's an OFB thing?

I tried this and it didn't work. It appeared to be going to a lot (it wasn't named), but I ended-up back on the same lot I'd started from, the same as when I accidentally clicked on a lot on the Synch Timer. How did you get it to work?

I got it to work when I jumped one lot but not when I tried to go back. It didn't save the old lot though. I don't recommend doing this.

I'm going to test this again with a different lot. The one I used had a two word name with a space and it's quite possible that's why it didn't work. I've noticed that the SimDNA cheat won't work if there are any spaces in the name (i.e., JM would work, but J M won't) and apparently the same applies to the Family Funds cheat. JM suggested putting quotes round the name when someone mentioned a problem with that, so maybe that would work with this cheat also. Unfortunately, the vast majority of my lots have more than one word in their names, so I'll have to change them if it turns out to be the problem. Then again, most of the Maxis made ones have more than one word in them, too.
