I checked with my EB Games. They're getting the game in this Wednesday, March 1, 2006.

Woohoo! EB said they'll have it in on Wednesday, and I pre-paid so if by chance they get it in earlier (they got it a day early for NL), I could be playing it as soon as tomorrow night!
They had the guide already as well, but I'll be damned if I'll pay $26.95 for it, which is what they're charging.

I'd be more enthused about the idea if I didn't keep hearing that the Holiday pack was buggy as all getout.
It wasn't buggy at all, just a clash between different cultures. In EA's world, it's perfectly normal for Santa to pee like a racehorse and watch small children shower. |

Sorry, but I'm not that impressed with what I've seen of the new family fun pack.
I've seen (and gotten) better looking furniture at the Well Dressed Sim and The Sims Resource for free.
What Maxis oughta do if they *REALLY* want to rake in the big bux is to run a TSR style downloads page with exclusive Maxis products...did I mention it would only be availabe for a monthly fee? Maybe have a rotation like TSR has so that other players can get certain objects for free, but they only offer one or two items that are part of a set, and if you want the rest you have to *subscribe* to their Downloads page.
Wonder how the Sheeple would react to that? I bet half would be howling bloody murder and threaten to boycott Maxis, and the other half would be kissing Maxis butt and signing up to be a monthly subscriber. What say you?

Proves nothing, given that you are a KEWIAN. I point out the COMPLETE LACK OF CORROBORATION by known, reliable sources. Maybe that's why it takes so long before you get the EPs. Takes that long to find a source you trust to tell you that the game actually exists. I'll let you know if the game exists when I pick up my copy on Thursday. Gotta love Australian time zones...  |

EA games is trying a different direction. No more EPs. They will instead dedicate their time to fixing the games already released. |

That needs to be the new site motto. As for the mini-packs, that add no real content and just some crappy objects that are buggy... If only there were something like teh internets where you could find crap like that without paying.  |

Well, if sales of those silly booster packs are good, they might really stop making EPS all together as booster packs are certainly easier to produce for maximum profit.
