In the OFB box there's no ad for the next expansion pack.  It's one for the "family fun" booster pack, instead. You can see the ad here: www.snootysims.comI'm pretty bummed out.  Oh, well maybe it will be more of a surprise this way when they "officially'" announce what the next ep will be. Maybe they don't know what they're doing next yet. I loved opening the box and finding out *surprise* what the next EP will be. Oh, well. Mind you, I always knew before I opened the box because of websites like snootysims, but still. I really want to know what they're planning on doing. What do you think the next ep will be? Why do you think they didn't place the next ep ad in the box? |

On one hand, I'm sorta glad they're not advertising it, I think it sort of takes away from enjoying the current EP. But I hate surprises too, so I'd rather know what was coming it. I'm conflicted. |

I agree with you BlueSoup; ever since I bought NL I have been counting the days until OFB because I think it looks so cool, it kind of sucks some of the fun out of the EP that you actually have in your hot little hands. But I still love knowing and anticipating what the next EP is going to be.

That sounds like USDA Grade A to me. That's just propaganda. There's no such thing. The usual sources report no such creature, so this is obviously nonsense. Especially since SnootySims is a well-known rumor-mongering site that has been making stuff up for a long time now. |

I don't know about Switzerland, but there's no OFB in Austria. I live in a neighboring country and visit there to pick up my games (it's cheaper than buying them here ._.), and it wasn't in shops at the beginning of this week.

Okay, so part of the ad for Family Fun on Snootysims says "redesign your living room with upscale nautical furnishings." WTF? Pirate chic? Nothing can be upscale if it reminds you of Cap'n Spanky's Fish n Chips Hut. That made me laugh.  ETA: Oh no! The twins cheat rears its ugly head again! Maybe they did that to shut the kids up. Yeah, Spore looks quite interesting so I'll definitely be getting it when it comes out. I like the idea of creating your own unique creature - add a leg, a couple of eyes and big teeth - noice!

Wow, that advertisement REALLY wants me to buy the Family Pack now. Also, doesn't it strike anyone else odd that it's in English and not in the language that they speak over there? Could easily be photoshopped.
There's still hope for an expansion announcement though. That picture looks like it's on the back of the manual and not the jewel case. Perhaps they'll put an expansion announcement on OFB's jewel case when it gets released stateside.

If it's the one that is on Snooty's site. Yeah. Didn't show too much that we hadn't already seen in the Maxis promo videos - some shots of the new neighborhood, a couple of shots of the new items all lined up ( a picture would have been better than a video - hard to focus in on the items when the video shot isn't that long nor a close-up of the items) and a couple of chair make-overs. It was a nice idea by the person who created it - to show what the game had - but there wasn't anything too "new" in the video. |

Sharp eye. I missed that. Well I do hope it's true because that Family pack does look nice. So it goes on sale in 5 days. darn it's going to fall in the middle of the week and even though I'm looking forward to buying it, I'm sure as hell not going to work 12.5hours and then trek on down to the local Walmart Oh well, I guess I'll have to live vicariously through the rest of you for a couple of days until the weekend hits to buy it.. And I didn't preorder it this time because the last time I did that I had to wait 2 weeks after it's release before it got delivered to me which sucked |

The holiday pack didn't interest me much so I didn't get it although the fireworks and a few other things sounded pretty cool, I didn't have the money anyway but I will be getting the Family pack and probably the other one when its out.
