45 degree rotation cheat, how does it work...??

typed in boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true in the console and tried rotation furnitures in home, same thing....
i have both expansion packs installed with the nightlife patch #2

Comma and full stop work too, you don't need to use the Shift key.

Ok.... new problem
I picked up the item, and press > the item rotated fine but when i tried putting it down it changed back to the old 90=degree rotation.....

ok i single left-click the furniture, say a chair
press ">" once, the chair rotates 45-degree clockwise
now i single left-click the chair again to put it down, it changes back to starting angle

I do it automatically, so I'm trying to think - I think you need to keep the < or  the > pressed down while you click the mouse.

No, just went into my game and checked, all you do is make sure you are still locked on to the object with the hand icon and then click the mouse after you release the > key - but I always just use , and .  and don't bother with the < or the >.

yes im using . and ,
i click the chair once, its picked up, then i press . once it rotates, then i mouse click once to release the object and it goes back to the old angle....
it did work once or twice after 1000000000000000 tries, so i think this is some kind of bug for me....

Seems odd!  What exactly do you type?  (And do you have Move objects on?)

I type the following and it works fine:

ok it seems like all the alt-tabbing's had generated a bug, i reboot my computer and restarted the game the problem is fixed now
(tried restarting game without rebooting and it didnt fix it )

Great!  Glad you've got it to work!

Now, I'd suggest that on quitting the game you delete groups.cache just to be sure you don't get the problem repeated through an error in that.  (the game will just generate a new one, so don't worry.)

I think it's easier to place the object and then rotate. Sometimes it does seem to want to turn back, especially if it's trying to snap to a tile or wall or whatever. Just click to place, then hit the rotate key as many times as necessary.

If you have Moveobjects on, it doesn't, in my experience, try to snap to a wall, it just pokes through!
