No that particular one is still not fixed (it's worth noting that Shaklin's fix simply uses the adult female texture instead); there are at least 3 problems with the vampire textures (2 are texture mapping errors due to typos and/or stupidity the last one is the teen female texture being a mix between male and female teen; put the male teen texture on top of the teen female texture using a new project in BodyShop and adjust the transparancy and you'll get something similar to what they did) and 1 Maxis shortcut that makes it look crappy (elders have white teeth but yellow fangs).

I'm installing the patch right now and I'll report any issues here if I come across them. The only hack I'm removing is the noreunionmemoryfix. I'll see if my game turns into a BFBVFS with everything else left in.

I've also noticed that the majority of my pianos work OK since removing the pianofix mod, but sometimes for no reason the odd one will stop providing fun.  This happened in the Goth house today.  It worked fine for the adults, but not the kids.  Talking of instruments, I thought they'd fixed the problem where a Sim would get stuck playing an instrument if someone stopped playing another one while they were 'joining', but maybe I imagined it because it still happens regularly in my game.

Fixed an issue where Custom Terrain paint was being uploaded with packaged lots and spread to other users' machine unintentionally.

I'm wondering what they mean. Hopefully it also means we could delete custom terrain paints from a packaged file without corrupting it irretrievably.

I'm not willing to guinea pig this patch though, I'm playing sims for the first time in weeks and enjoying the opportunity, I'll wait for the hack conflicts reports first.

Well they fixed the one bug that had been bugging me - the inability to influence non-playables to drink Vamprocillin-D. My sims had their want slots clogged up with "Cure so-and-so" when that so-and-so was a college dormie and previously uninfluencable. It now works as it should.

Well, the original Sims2 patch fixed that in my game.  And the problem with constantly washing up the same coffee cup.

Well, it bloody didn't in mine.  She will still spend hours washing the thing (I'm sure that sponge isn't good for the fish) unless I remember to whip the thing away and hide it from her.

The one I like is:

Sims will no longer get a memory of making out with themselves in the hot tub under certain conditions.

That has always disturbed me.

There is a Jack Thompson sim over at MTS2.  I made family of eight of them, killed them off and made one into a zombie who now lurks around my community lots.  Well, after I had made him a cross dresser and poor (he's a fortune sim).  Works for me.  I really must put that story up somewhere again.

All the fixes in this patch will also be in the Open For Business expansion, which I intend to get sometime after it is released. 

I'll let all of you figure out what hacks are not needed, then I will have less to worry about when OFB comes out.

That's standing on the fence a bit, isn't it?  I shall just wait for Pescado to finish deciding what's obsolete, but I shan't let othr people take ultimate responsibility for my game - I'll put the patch in as soon as I know what to delete from my hacks folders.

Why go through all the hassle? 

OFB will be out in a matter of weeks.

There will be additional incompatibilities with OFB beyond the patch contents.

As an end user of the mods, why would I want to go through figuring out what is and is not compatible twice in a matter of a couple months when I can do it just once?
