Computer Madness Fix (Updated 26 March 2006 OFB)

I've had that conflict every since I first installed this mod. But Monique's computer has continued to function normally and the Sims have actually stopped having fits over the chair, whereas with Monique's computer alone they would still have fights over the chair, apparently blind to the fact that there is already a Sim sitting there.

If you are having jump bugs, you should turn on testing cheats and send the log to the appropriate modder or post it in the Podium for someone here to look at.

Maybe this hack needs to load after Monique's computer?

That's a possibility. I don't know enough about the inner workings to know. But I know that in my game Monique's computer is working normally and this hack actually does load in last.

Hmm...in my game, this hack loads first, since "crammyboy" precedes "Monique".

I suppose moving this one to my special "zLoad Last" folder would be the logical thing to try. Thanks for the idea.

Don't bother. They both do the exact same thing.

I thought I read somewhere that Monique's computers had that feature built in.

After reading that Monique's computer and this hack are both doing the same thing as far as making Sims realize that a computer was already in use, I removed this hack.

But today I had a Sim who was doing her term paper. Another Sim kept going over to that computer with the intent of chatting with another Sim. When he reached the computer, it would drop from his queue. He would then walk away then come back in a minute to try again. He tried at least 4 times.

Now he didn't wave his arms in complaint, but I do have the MATY hacks installed. But as far as I can remember, Sims would realize the computer was in use and pick a different one to use when I had this hack installed.

Am I wrong? Was it just my imagination or luck? Does this make them realize that the computer is in use so that they can choose another one or does it just stop them from having a fit about it?
