How are you naming the self-sims in your game? Are you putting the screen name as the first name, last name or both?

Ah... names, um... well... I'm using the screen name as the first name and variants of Sim for the last name. For example I'm Dewshine Simfitt in my game. (not that it matters). Then there's BlueSoup Simmy, and Emma Simson.... Witch Indigosim... and so on.

Ah... names, um... well... I'm using the screen name as the first name and variants of Sim for the last name. For example I'm Dewshine Simfitt in my game. (not that it matters). Then there's BlueSoup Simmy, and Emma Simson.... Witch Indigosim... and so on.
I think I'm going to steel this idea and use it in the shared hood if you don't mind. |

I am using a couple of methods, for any name that can be broken up such as Dew Shine (and still make a fair amount of sense, that is what I am using. Others the last name is Maty, and some just have a last name that is either their zodiac sign or some other attribute as stated in the self sim post.

I've used one-word screen names as first names, and mostly Maty as the last name, except for Ancient Sim (and associates), who is Ancient Sim. In cases where it was easy to make a sensible first and last name from a screen name, I did that: BlueSoup is Blue Soup. I also checked people's profiles and Web sites (if they listed one) looking for ideas for made-up last names; using, for example, parts of instant messenger names to construct a last name. Self-sims that came on lots have whatever names their creators gave them. For example, LynnMar is Lynn Mar (obvious enough), Reggikko is Reggikko Laverwinkle because it's the name of her Web site, and Myth is Myth Chick based on the IM name that's shown in her profile. |

Eh...I know the feeling. I put up a self sim elsewhere wuite a while ago. She was dressed in a bathingsuit I'd made myself, to look like one I really owned. So when people began posting pictures of my sim, the clothing they had dressed her in...*shakes head* Everyone assumed I dressed like a slut. Kind of funny, actually. I call my self sim Lauren Black, which is my real first name, and the last name I use with one of my pen-names. |
