Games that haven't been properly released or leaked are all Lies and Propaganda, and threads regarding such are supposed to go in Retardo Land. But this demo seems more of a gray area to me, as it has been leaked in an ineffectual manner. On topic, Sims Island has made a breakthrough with the crack and it's now in "testing." The bad news is that the crack is for the updated demo, so yesterday's torrent is useless, and the demo will be in Portuguese. Their Facebook page is where they're posting updates. Facebook strikes me as an odd place to announce updates for your attempts at pirating video games, but kids these days do all sorts of crazy things. |

Edit: I can't seem to find it anymore. In case I do find the information, I'll post here
Edit 2: I found this: "Open the Default file and change the last 3 numbers of the version of the game, example 1.63 ........ 017, change the last 3 to 002
Do the same with the file Skuversion"

Can't find a file labeled skuversion and altering Default.ini does nothing. Here is the patched version of the demo originally uploaded by Sims Island. The only "cracked" part about it so far as I can tell is that they ran TS4CAS.par through this site which is supposed to remove the Origin requirement for games but does not work for this demo. |

Even though it is all L&P, if the game itself is as horribly linked to Origin as this demo sounds like it is, will anybody other than those who have been blinded by the EAxis fanbase actually play the game? If people are having trouble cracking the demo and separating it from origin, what hope is there for the game itself.

I mean, it's not like restricting how customers install, access, and otherwise use a piece of purchased software lowers the number of sales or anything. |

Actually, there is already a mod out for the demo. So it isn't necessarily unfriendly to modding.
Naturally, EA is more against removing the Origin requirement, but I have every confidence that will eventually be hacked.

EA pretty much attempted suicide with SimCity and NFS Rivals, yet they still sold. NFS Rivals even beat most of it's predecessors, games which weren't capped at 30 FPS, actually featured more than 15 cars and didn't start off with half an hour long tutorials. People probably don't bother with the Sims 4 CAS demo cause... well it's just a demo for one, and it has pretty much been entirely "spoiled" already. |
