Downloading Custom Version of AwesomeMod?

So there's a link to create your own 'version' of AM, and I used it, but when I click 'generate' and open the download file, I don't have the right program. So what program do I need to open and install it?

PEBCAK. If you can't figure it out on your own, you shouldn't be using AM.

Have you tried RTFM?  That sometimes works.
