Sims 3 world tool and screen problem

Ok so I was making a world and I had that problem with the fog, I looked it up and found something about options and draw distant. I found it, but I can't save the changes because it won't fit the screen cause my grapics. Can anyone help me?   (For those who wonder why I didn't ask this in the question area, it's cause I want it to be easy to find and the resolution it's kinda of a big problem.)

Try ctrl s to save. I don't quite know what you've done though. Can you not see the menus anymore?

mmm, Tried it, but it didn't seem to work. Anyway with my grapics I look it up and it said that my grapics will only let me use certain screen resolutions,  because that problem I can't see the menus. And the resolutions that it gives me is 800 x 600 or 1024 x 600 and no other resolutions. I've aslo tried going to the notepad option for the game and changing it there, but the grapics change it right back. It could aslo be the monitor is only set to the certain resolution, i'm not sure.
