installing mods sims 2 DD plus expansions

I had to replace my siims 2 discs with DD because I lost a couple.  i have DD, University Life and all other expansions.

my problem is that I can't get my mods to work, I currently have 'em in the my docu/EA games/double deluxe/downloads folder in a subfolder called awesome stuff, i tried it in the sims 2 folder  but they don't seem to work there either.

What mods were you installing?

For example, Inteen seems to be iffy with combo packs (like University Life, Fun with Pets, Double Deluxe, etc.).

I have all the combo packs plus all the ones that come alone and Inteen is the only one that gets a bit screwy with me (like my Sims called for a gardener and ALL THREE of the NPCs showed up!).

That's because InTeen is a horrible piece of crap.

Yeah, I kinda figured that out.  I liked getting my college students married to each other (I'm very old-fashioned).  I've since given up on Inteen.
