I've run sims on my current pc before without error, but now, after having uninstalled every game and ep after about a year of being bored with it, when I try to install Double Deluxe, it tells me that I have a borked version of Uni.
The Sims 2 University Life Collection is not installed or improperly installed on your machine. Please install or reinstall.
Okay, but this is Deluxe and I haven't installed Uni.
Deleting everything, uninstalling, etc. doesn't help, and neither does actually installing Uni, oddly enough, because when I try to do that, when it tries to update after installation, it gives me an error message and immediately uninstalls itself.
I've tried using different serials, installing Uni by itself (I know, I know, but I wanted to try everything before posting about it), and even contacting EA about it, and nada.
