BG won't launch

I un-installed my game awhile ago to allow space on my computer because it runs like a pile of melted crap when it gets low on memory. (I stupidly forgot to disable my custom content, which was just Awesome, SC, and random CAS oddities.) Upon re-installation, I found that I would get an error message upon trying to launch the Base Game, which needs to be patched. I can launch WA just fine, the fact that I can't do anything after launching it due to patch incompatibility notwithstanding.

This is what I get when trying to open the BG launcher:

I'm full aware that this isn't strictly Awesome Mod related and that I am a noob who should read the fucking FAQ and LURK MOAR. I'm just wondering if any-one can tell whether or no my game is irreparably borked? 'Twould be appreciated.

That description is hard to follow and hard to understand the problem, apart from you not having enough memory. You talk about patch incompatibility, using the launcher (Christ only knows the fuck why), being able to launch WA but not the base game, etc.

For fuck sake, what is the actual problem? Get more memory as the FOJ says, then fucking patch your game so you don't get error messages and issues due to patch incompatibility.

Search. You know that little box in the upper left corner, try using it. There are many threads and details about manually patching your game, there is even a link to a useful little tool at MTS.
