"Conflict with Emulation Software" error after patching AL for the first time

I patched my game for the first time recently, and after I ran the game, I got a "Conflict with Emulation Software" error message.  I have never gotten such a message before, and as far I as I know I have no disc emulators or CD-burning software of any kind.  I rebooted several times, but it did not work.  I have all Ep's and FFS running on XP.

This sounds like the error people were getting because of SecuROM.  Are you using a no-CD crack?  If not, start using one and remove SecuROM from your computer per the sticky in the Podium forum.

Where can I get one?  I see one at GameBurnWorld, but Norton marks that site as unsafe.

There should be one on GameCopyWorld, and my antivirus (AVG) has no problems with that site.  Come to that, it doesn't have any problems with GameBurnWorld either.  My impression from what people have said about Norton is that it kind of sucks, too, but meh.

Norton software is stupid. Then again, so are you, so you're perfect for each other. Now, do you need any more help with horrifyingly obvious procedures? Want someone to hold your hand while you take a shit? I'm sure rufio would oblige.
