A -30 Energy drop every time you use the cauldron?  Seriously, EA?

I thought that was a little much too, considering my sims can break space rocks all day long.

It's extremely easy to extract the .package file from a sims3pack. Just google it.

I think I'm going to take a look at the catagories for the magic set and climbing wall. From what I've noticed, while they are in sensible catagories they also all show up under misc. decorative as well! That catagory is cluttered enough as it is.

Does anyone know if there is a mod out for the climbing wall that changes the autonomous usage of it by sims? Everytime my sim goes to the Firestation where I have 2 setup, he uses it along with his partner, and they end up using it so much they pass out on the floor, as their energy decay is rapid.

Is anyone aware if any fixes have been issued for the (TS3 $tore item) Infinite Flow Hot Tub? I've been building an Asian themed house lately, and when I went to test I realized that the spout doesn't work at all. I searched, but I only found one other mention of it (on TS3.com).  The person who reported it also said that the hot tub from the casino set has a broken spout as well. (Which it does.)
I was curious enough to check the rest of the $tore tubs. Everything else seems to work, except possibly for the tiki-themed hot tub. I say possibly because the water works, but the torches that the tiki idol holds don't give off any light—and I'm not too sure if they were ever supposed to—being unable to find a working picture.

It looks to me that the Infinite Flow HT uses the wrong animation because it's there, it just doesn't match the tub. What's wrong with the casino HT? And I doubt the torches are supposed to light up since other lights are present.

The casino hot tub is also using the wrong animation. If you look closely, you will barely be able to see some water "flowing" at the base of the wall. There is a slit for the for water, however, between the King and Queen.

Edit:
I found that the Rock Climbing Wall decayed energy way too quickly for my taste. EA had it set to -50/hr. I set it to -10, which is a bit faster than when working out with the exercise machine.

Nope They don't. only patch requirments

Actually, a few new items DO require certain EPs, but they let you know on the object page.

I made some different flavors for the Rock Climbing Wall mod. "Slower" energy decay remains the same as previously posted, at -20/hr. "Base Game" energy decay means energy will decay at the same rate as when sims work out, which is -10/hr. There are also "Don't Break a Sweat" versions which prevents hygiene decay, and versions which allow children to use the rock climbing wall. Children will stretch when using the wall. Slower hygiene decay is at -14.76/hr. Note that un-modded hygiene decay is the same as base game work out hygiene decay when not using "Don't break a sweat."

Anyone experiencing missing magic cauldron after clearing the caches?? when I load the game, the cauldron would be a sunflower in a vase. I'm using decrapped s3p and magicitemsfixv3

I installed and everything went fine, they were under installed content (as compilations, not as individual items). I exited the launcher last night, and today they were uninstalled and the Download tab had a ! behind it because of it. What am I doing wrong? thanks

I have the exact same thing happening. So I've been downloading the sims 3 store stuff from here and various other places because I cannot be arsed to pay that much for stuff I  want. Now I've installed them by putting them in my downloads folder, it says it's installed but cannot find it anywhere in my game. Then I've come across the software s3rc and decrapify. Now some of them actually work but others don't like the ones I actually really want such as Tip Top Toddler Collection and more magic the ultralounge collection.

Before I decrappified I got an error saying it couldn't be installed at least. And the compilations were just brown boxes in the launcher. After decrappifying they were the blueish images from ts3store.

I really want the tip top toddler collection too!

All other stuff I've downloaded were sims3packs for each item, and they work very well. (torrented)

Yes mine is the same. Even when I took the magicitemfixv3 out the magic cauldron didn't show up again. I cleared the caches and it is still not there.

Yes mine is the same. Even when I took the magicitemfixv3 out the magic cauldron didn't show up again. I cleared the caches and it is still not there.

I think I found the solution... I uninstall the magic set from the launcher, (check the brown box)... then, after that I close the launcher and I clear my caches again... then Install the set again via the launcher, then checked if the cauldron is installed, then again close the launcher, clear the caches. open launcher, checked the cauldron and the laddle, it is there. I didn't remove the fix.

A couple of store items, for instance the Bella painting from the Let There Be Sims "set," are showing up as tiny black balls ingame. Are they corrupted, or does it mean they require an EP/SP I don't have?

I use decrapified Sims3Packs and install through the launcher if that has anything to do with it.

I don't know what causes objects to turn into those little black spheres but I have had it happen on several occassions to different store items. I assume it must be corruption of some kind. I've always got them back in my game by simply reinstalling the relevant sims3pack.

Ugh, I think I may just switch to .packages. The launcher randomly replaced a thumbnail with a white box with a red X in it after the last batch. It went away when I closed the launcher and reopened it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the lot of it's corrupt now.

The weird thing is that the box moved when I scrolled down, so it always occupied the same space on the screen. But anyway, what's kept me from using packages for Store stuff so far is that since the filenames when you extract them are gibberish strings, I can't tell which item is which, so I can't remove the ones I don't want. How do I get around that? Is it okay to extract from decrapified packs or should I get fresh ones?

I don't know if it's the only way, but Delphy's Multi-Extracter (it's on MTS) will extract .packages from sims3packs.
