Twinbrook Library with skill books
« on: 2010 June 05, 22:34:30 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Apparently the new library in Twinbrook didn't come with any skill books.  So I added the skill books as well as fishing books, recipe books, song books and parenting books.  If you want your library to have all the books replace it with this one.  (Recommended for use with Awesomemod)

Terms of use: You can alter this file.  Rehost it.  Take credit for it.  Whatever you like. I don't care.

New Version:

This new version of the library has the "Book Corral" that Kyna mentioned. The previous version simply had skill books stuffed into it but lacked the shelf that is supposed to hold them.  So choose whichever version you like.  Both should have the missing skill books in them:

There's no need for this, if you're using AwesomeMod, there is already a command, regeneratebooks, or something, that will regenerate all library shelves.

Will "regeneratebooks" work, given that the right bookcase apparently isn't in the library?

I had heard that the answer to the Twinbrook library issue was to edit the lot and add the bookcase named "The Book Corral".

That's what I did - I added the 'corral' bookcases to the lot.

The Regenerate books command, when I tried it in the past, would regenerate whatever books normally come in the bookshelves, but it wouldn't add any additional books. I'm not sure why EA created a bookshelf that obviously looks like it belongs in a library, but has no skill books in it.

Unfortunately that doesn't work since the library lacks the "Book Corral" shelf that holds the missing books.  I added a different version with the missing bookshelf so in the future regeneratebooks will fix the problem if the books go missing.

The cheap low two-tile bookcase has the kids' and toddler books. The other bookcasess don't have those. Don't have Ambitions myself yet, but a lot of custom worlds I've tried that didn't have skill books in the library didn't have toddler books either.

Aye.. I just went into edit mode and added a Penningway shelf and it automatically stocked itself with skill books.

Sorry about that.  I seem to have deleted the wrong link when I edited my post.  Anyway, it is fixed now.
