Hi. Does anyone know how to assign other keys than the existing ones to the 3 different speeds and pause function ? I would really appreciate being able to keep my sore left shoulder in a straight axis. There used to be a hack for Sims 2 that reassigned speed 1 2 and 3 to the first left keys of the second top row keyboard and it was really helpful to me (but I can't remember who made it).
I searched for an existing hack that would do this for Sims 3 but didn't find any.

Any number of keyboard remapping programs exist which can accomplish this task. Find any of them and use them. They are not specific to Sims and therefore not our concern.

Okay. Didn't think about a program for this since I only want to reassign these keys for the Sims 3. Thanks anyway.

You could try using the Num Pad to control your game speed: 0(pause), 1,2,3 and 4
