Getting a new computer - graphical station with Dual Core Intel Xeon

I am having good chance for obtaining computer - graphical station.
The computer will be only (mainly) for Sims 2/3. I am not much experienced with Sims but I would like to change my computer as soon as possible.
The specification is below. Does it makes sense to use Xeon processor and NVIDIA QUADRO graphical card for Sims3? Does it give better performance in the game than "normal" computer? Does somebody has experience or information with graphical stations?

OS: Windows XP Pro
GRaphical Card: NVIDIA QUADRO FX 3500
I/O: 1x PCI express, 2x mini PCI express,1x PCI

I know about problems with accessibility of the server ECC RAM and SCSI HDD

Performance will not significantly improve beyond a certain point, as TS3 is not really that demanding.
