Please Help Me Figure Out My Sims Folder

OK, that's the best way I could describe what I need help with.
My sims 3 folder apparently isn't like everyone else's. I when I go to my The Sims 3 folder under EA, the options I come up with are Caches, Game, GameData, Mods, Support, Thumbnails, and my resource.cfg folder.
I checked under every single stupid sub folder and CANNOT find where to place downloaded sims, downloaded lots, OR where to check what store content I already have.
The reason I want to know this is because I'm cleaning up stuff and moving stuff around so its easier to access later. I have never had these folders to check these items. I was told when using the launcher to download my stuffs that I already had some items, so I tried to put in the exact extension folder it gave me, and turns out I don't even have that folder. >.>
I had version 1.8 and downloaded WA from TPB, and then updated all that good stuff so the versions matched and whatnot.
Please help me find these MIA folders!!

I typed that in, and it keeps taking me to IE, and says it can't display the page.
I also tried searching for it without typing. It's not there. Not to be rude, but I already stated exactly what my sims 3 folder has in it, and the downloads folder was not one of the ones I listed.
I'm sorry, but while I'm smart on some things computer, I'm terribly stupid on other things. My computer teachers in higschool would be so mad at me, lol.

well your downloads installed via the launcher aren't as readily available as they were in Sims2. There's a thread around here somewhere about DBC files. THOSE are your launcher installed custom content files.

So you're literally looking for something that doesn't exist. And if you're getting messages that the file is already installed, that's something that started with the latest patch (it occurs when you install EA store stuff).

Don't type it, you're doing it wrong. Depending on your OS version the path might be slightly different. Just navigate to the folder above and they're all there, not in the Sims 3 folder in your Program Files, but in your My Documents folder.

Caches
Game
GameData
Mods
Support
Thumbnails
Resource.cgf
Now direct me from there where this supposed download folder is at.
THAT IS ALL I HAVE.

You must have missed the "My Documents" part of that. I propose that the oversight occurred because you are a retarded fail-troll who needs to GTFO.

To clarify: My Documents is a folder that is located in the root of your drive, usually C:. NOT in your Program files ffs. Program files is another folder that's also found in your c: drive. That's where you're trying to look now, get out of there and start again.

ETA: So instead of having to use the launcher to download the sims3packs I got from here, can I place them directly into the downloads folder?
