Sims Money

Ok hope someone knows the answer to this, i have a family in game with kids ready to leave home, the houshold fund is 500,000 if i move the kids out can they take some of the money with them? and if so how do i do it? i know i could cheat and give them money with motherload ete but i dont like to cheat with that, all this money is hard earned cash

If you're using AwesomeMod, they will take their share of the money with them.  Otherwise I think it's like $16,000 they get.

If you don't have AwesomeMod, you could just buy a load of expensive stuff and put it in their inventories to sell when they get to their new lot.

From what I've experienced so far, if you move the children out and into a house, the household funds are spent to buy the house.

That's what I've experienced also. But then the household has no other funds to spend. As in the only money they have is the money that was used from their parent to buy the house.

The only time I've ever moved a sim out and abandoned the old house leaving the parents behind, the moving sim took the entire family funds.  There may be limits on how much they'll take but it was more than the 16K.
